Originally from Brussels, now based in Ghent, her sets channel the pulse of two cities: shaped by curiosity, instinct, and an openness to constant change. She’s carving space in a scene still finding balance, proving that presence is as much about courage as it is about sound.

She found herself through techno and its caring (nightlife) community, making her move nowadays with clarity and fully embracing her identity, both on and off the dancefloor. Over time moments of pressure behind the decks slowly transformed into confidence and expression. Everything from house to bounce, in the third episode of the archival sessions.

The concept emerged from a unique intersection of passions: architecture & urbanism, music, and a desire to connect. At its core, ‘suburb’ explores how the urban environment shapes musical tastes and influences artistic output. Aiming to preserve and showcase the - unique - musical identities of artists (DJs and producers), the platform serves as a decentralized digital archive that ties their work to specific locations, fostering a sense of belonging and identity.

Through the format of seasonal episodes, based on an intricate entanglement of recorded performances and interviews, ‘suburb’ tries to capture the diversity of musical expression in different (sub)urban areas, locally and globally. The platform aims to shape a (digital) space for connection, offering individuals a chance to feel heard in this age of acceleration - through participation, between creators and beholders.

Through the art of mapping, the visual translation of this data, ‘suburb’ invites individuals to reflect on how their surroundings impact their creative process. Creating a global catalog while emphasizing the uniqueness of individuals and local (sonic) diversity. Ultimately allowing to exceed the boundaries of the digital realm, a potential for local discoveries and events, fostering a more tangible and personal experience.
